Kino Community Information
Bahía de Kino is a friendly seaside community located on the beautiful coast of Sonora, where the Sonoran Desert meets the Sea of Cortez. Home to approximately 6,500 permanent residents according to the 2020 INEGI Census, Kino also welcomes seasonal residents and visitors from throughout Mexico, Canada, the United States and beyond.
The community is commonly divided into Kino Viejo (Old Kino), the original village and main commercial area, and Kino Nuevo (New Kino), which stretches north along the coast with homes, restaurants, motels and RV parks.
Kino is known for its beautiful beaches, spectacular sunsets, fishing, abundant wildlife and strong sense of community.
Kino Ladies Klub (KLK)
The Kino Bay Ladies Klub (KLK) welcomes all women of the Kino community. Luncheon meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from November through March.
KLK supports community needs and operates a High School Scholarship Program to help local students continue their education.
KINO BAY NEUTER AND SPAY ORGANIZATION
Kino Bay Neuter and Spay Organization (KBNSA) provides free sterilization surgeries for Mexican dogs (including street dogs) in the Kino Community. Since its inception in 2012, KBNSA has sterilized over 1800 dogs. To make a donation to this worthy cause, contact Nancy Berg, sailberg@msn.com or
